Bad photo day with daughter
by admin on May.19, 2009, under Families
I wanted to fill a photo cube of our daughter for Mother’s Day, so the Friday before I asked to shoot our daughter. Evidently having her pictures shot was not what she wanted to do. As you can see we did not have a typical smiley session. She complained through the entire shoot. My wife loves the cube.

I’m reviewing old file for family prints to print and frame for a big wall at home. These images are a refesh of family on a merry-go-round in Caseville MI. This is in the last days of film, excuse the film watermarks.

Here are a couple shots of friends of ours latest family addition. A few years ago, I shot our friend’s first son and we both liked the results so much, we did it again. I thought I would be able to shoot with natural light, but the skies above Sylvan Lake clouded over. I set up two simple strobes to add to some light coming in the living room window. I get a real kick from shooting children and adding to a family photo album
Little Dean

I finally got to my friend’s house to shoot their newborn. Only he was not so newborn, closer to 11 months. Here is a bit of what I shot. I really had fun photographing Dean and his older brother. I tried all natural light first, but had to add a softbox and some fill, because it clouded over outside.
