I was working on shooting portraits where people were not necessarily happy, but concerned, confused or upset. It was more of a character study day. The processing was a little harsh with a touch of green in the shadows.
For the last few years I have done a self assigned project called portrait week. I save up inspirational photo or looks I want to work on and I shoot one of the looks each week day. I invite friends and family over for a great week of experimental portraits.
This year I chose a super high key look inspired by Joel Grimes. My goal was to go as white as possible, just being able to see squinting and shape.
Here are shots from a portrait session with Isacc, a local actor. Isaac wanted to to update his headsheet from the shots we had done a couple years ago.
